I was first exposed to chiropractic when I was 22 years old. I was pregnant with my first baby and woke up one morning and couldn’t even get out of bed. I had to literally crawl to the living room and call a friend for advice on what course of action to take. She suggested I call a chiropractor……thank goodness!!! I was assisted into the chiropractic office for an adjustment using the Activator technique. This was my first experience with chiropractic……I was amazed! I walked out of the chiropractor’s office pain-free and without assistance. This was such a blessing because due to the fact that I was pregnant, I didn’t want to take any medications, yet I was initially in excruciating pain and needed relief. At that point, I seriously considered a career change!

As far as my education is concerned, I graduated valedictorian from Penney High School in Hamilton, MO. I then obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Missouri Western State College. I worked as an accountant (for those of you who know me, I know that’s hard to believe!) for a few years, before having the experience mentioned above, and then headed back to school at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City to obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I have never looked back and have been so blessed by choosing this as my career. It is a privilege to help patients naturally through chiropractic adjustments, detoxification, nutrition, physical therapy, massage therapy, and laser therapy. As patients become more educated, this field continues to expand and grow which enables us to see incredible results in even more people of all ages. This is why it is so exciting to come to work every single day!
When I began chiropractic college, I knew I wanted to specialize in the Activator technique which is a very gentle, low force adjusting method which is used exclusively at my practice. As a chiropractor licensed in the state of Missouri, I am required to attend 24 hours of continuing education each year. This enables me to stay on the cutting edge of my field by learning about the latest innovations to help facilitate and expedite healing to my patients. In addition to being proficiency-rated in Activator Methods technique, I am also certified in cold laser therapy and physiotherapy. Also, I am currently a member of the Missouri State Chiropractor’s Association.
My family consists of my husband, Dave, whom I call “Mr. Businessman!” He has his hands in a lot of different business endeavors and keeps very busy! We both keep very busy chasing our four kids around to all of their extracurricular activities……never a dull moment at our house! I’m sure this probably sounds very familiar to many of you. Tavin is 18, Coldin is 16, Makenzie is 11, and Madison is 8. Each of them is unique and special and we love them all to pieces!
